Privacy Policy

Effective date: 31 August 2026

1. Who we are

Camplete (ABN 55 704 045 446) operates camplete.com.au, selling camping equipment packages for click-and-collect in Sydney, Australia. We adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). “Personal information” means information that is identifiable as being about you — such as your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that can reasonably identify you, directly or indirectly.

2. What we collect

  • Identity and contact details: name, email, phone number — to process and communicate about your order.
  • Order and collection details: items purchased, collection window, and the one-time access code issued for your pickup.
  • Payment information: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical data: device, browser, and usage data via cookies/analytics to run and improve the website.
  • Communications: messages you send us, and reviews you choose to leave.

3. How we use it

To process orders and collections, provide access codes, deliver customer support, meet our legal obligations (including tax records and product-safety/recall obligations), prevent fraud, improve our products and website, and — only with your consent — send marketing emails.

4. Who we share it with

Service providers only, and only as needed to run the business: our website/e-commerce platform, payment processor, email provider, and analytics provider — and, where reasonably necessary, our insurers, professional advisers, agents or subcontractors. We may disclose personal information to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, warrant, legal proceedings or a law enforcement agency request, and in connection with a product recall we may share information with regulators. If there is a change of control in our business or a sale or transfer of business assets, we reserve the right to transfer, to the extent permissible at law, our customer records, including personal information contained in them. We do not sell personal information. Some service providers may store data overseas; we choose providers with appropriate safeguards.

5. Security and retention

Order data is held in our e-commerce platform with access limited to the business owners. Access codes are single-use and expire after your collection window. We retain transaction records for at least 5 years to meet Australian tax and consumer-law obligations, then delete or de-identify data no longer needed. While we take reasonable measures to safeguard personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, the transmission and exchange of information over the internet is carried out at your own risk and we cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit to us or receive from us.

6. Your choices and rights

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information, or ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep, by emailing contact@camplete.com.au. We may refuse access in certain circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

7. Cookies and advertising

We use essential cookies (cart, checkout) and analytics cookies. Cookies may also be used to serve relevant advertising to website visitors through third-party services such as Google Ads and Meta, and these ads may appear on this website or other websites you visit. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser; the checkout requires essential cookies to function.

7A. Third-party links

Our website may contain links to websites not owned or controlled by us. These links are for your convenience only and do not constitute endorsement. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites; we encourage you to read the privacy statements of every website that collects personal information.

8. Updates

We may update this policy as the business changes. The current version, with its effective date, is always published at camplete.com.au/privacy.
